Maybe It's Just Me

1993

You wouldn't have known it at the time, but this elbum was instrumental in the downfall of the Soviet Union in late 1991. Though unlisted in the album credits, Boris Yeltsin plays on two tracks and his influence and total in-studio hilarity made the recording of this album quite the hoot. How does tie in with the collapse of the world's largest nation (at the time)? We'll just leave it at this one word: arcanum. Maybe It's Just Me features new guitarist Tom "The Butcher" Holliston, a former trip-wire salesman with the history of the Big Beat tattooed on the back of his left hand.

The digital release does not include "Baldwang Must Die" or "This World Is Too Crowded", which can be found with better sound quality on I Thought It Was a Fig. The untitled silent track is also not included, but it can be purchased from Ford Pier for $100 CAD. In dimes.
